LOTRO to go 'free to play' in the autumn....

Its 20 levels in a row aint it? not actual level 20.

Edit:Nope above is wrong, ignore it :) reach level 20.

You get one at Lvs 5, 10, 14, 17 and 20. I think 14's indomitable, 17's unscathed and 20's undying. God, how I wanted that title. Still somewhat tempted to scrap Cwyngael and go try it again :D

The annoying thing is it's real easy with pretty much every other class. Got it with champ and hunter no probs, doubt i'll have trouble getting my captain to undying, but runekeeper and loremaster - pffft. Though I think runekeeper would be the easier of the two, because loremaster can't seem to do much on his lonesome.

Edit: I almost forgot the really annoying part - I'd have it on Cwyngael, but for my own stupidity. I only died once before lv20 - fell off a cliff in thorin's gate

I have played this on and off. Im not really into mmo's but i wanted to get into this one, but got bored after lvl 40.

Where does everyone go to lvl? I started in the Shire, then went to Bree Land, followed by Lone-Lands and North Downs then i got to Trollshaws its here that all the players seem to vanish and i got fed up playing a mmo with no people!
Not sure what lvl Evendim was for.

Evendim is one of the best looking scenery in an mmo imo. Especially if you get up high and look down onto everything. Mind you lotro is chock full of places with stunning vistas.

I got bored of the lake in Evendim, just that huge body of water to swim across. The game needs sea mounts - but then, I think I said the same thing about WoW. I didn't spend much time in Evendim, though it is quite stunning - packed off to Angmar, where I'm now dying with alarming frequency but getting a wonderful sense of accomplishment at taking down 2 mobs at the same time.

LM is easy - found it the easiest of the lot! i failed it on the hunter, RK and Warden (i wasn't really paying attention tbh though)

depends what level you are out of ND and LL. Trollshaws sucks big time, the worst zone of all imho, all i did in there was find the travel routes and avoided it unless i was doing the books (especially 2nd time through). so if it was empty that's probably why!

Esteldin has quests that start pointing you towards Angmar (around 50 but you can start it to get a decent armour set at high 40's), then there's the Misty Mountains and Forocel, though that is a pain to get round. you will also still get xp from grey quest completion, just not for killing grey mobs, so if you've missed any go back and do them until you can get somewhere decent.

Evendim has some level 50 instances, though it's not all level 50 (Annuminas sp is 50), there are quests over the lake to do with robbers and stuff. once you hit mid 50's it's Eregion then Moria and out the other side.

edit: should also say there's a UI option which lets you see all the grey quests marked on the map (just like normal quests) so you can easily find which you've missed.

Evenddim is high 20s to low 40s. there's a hobbit vilage/town in south that got quests from lvl 28 i think, then "main" are quests are around 31-42. You can easily lvl till 35 or so in north downs and then come to do evendim.
As said earlier Ammunidas is for lvl 50ish.

Don't forget that new zone south of the trollshaws, Tal Bruinen. Decent early 40's quests if I remember correctly, with a really good two piece light or med armour set, an an appearance by gollum :)

It's quite possible to completely miss it, especially if you're hurrying through the trollshaws

It's part of a quest anyway.

The servers will be offline at the moment for maintenance. It's at the same time every Thursday, 08:00 - 13:00 BST currently, obviously GMT when the clocks go back.

Today they're doing extended maintenace so it might not be back till 14.00.

edit: If you have external HDD copy your installation on it then copy it on yours gf's pc and run the client, it should "autorepair". should be much faster then downloading/updating it all again.
