OBSIDEAN 800D VS COSMOS PURE

FIRSTLY. thanks to all thoes who tryed helping me out with my other post about my other build having issues with gaming frezzing. it turned out to be what i asumed the powersupply.

ok building a i7 got a i7 920. possibly gonna get the ASUS P6TD. and CORSAIR 1000HX ill keep hold of my 1gb 4870 for now till i got more money for a better video card.

now for my dilemmer. im a guy who likes a nice style case slick but not too heavy. i dont really like plain looking cases. however with the new video cards.having a FULL ATX EATX CASE seems to be the way to go .i dont like the antec cases flat out.think there over hyped. however ive always been looking at the cmoses since they apeard since the cosmos 1000 with window.as i like my side windows. now for my latest build i decided on two cases.
OBSIDEAN 800D OR THE NEW COSMOS PURE. now i like the cosmos cos the slick curvs the polished black look. but i did a review on both cases and or thoe the obsidean is a BEAST. it kinda got the plain look but i heard the cmos pure doesnt hold every high end card snug some have a tight fit. cant recall what models. but i keep hearing the obsidean. takes them all. now i like side windows so.being the cosmos pure has non i emailed coolermaster they told me they will be supplying the panels shortly. SO GUYS what do you think should be my case. forget my ati 4870.cos that wont be in there for too much longer. possibly ati or nvidia.if you decided the obsidean .i will be useing this purewly for air cooling so will whack in 3 top fans above. as much as iwould love watercooling i always affraid of it leaking. popping my board.

Air cooling go for the cosmos, the Obsidian is better suited to watercooling, the extra space is wasted otherwise.

thanks for the help.
but im kinda still wondering if it will fit the most longest of video cards.
i really hope coolermaster will do a open sidewindow.
i phoned overclockers today they said the obsidean. :confused:

however bonus was just purchased pre order of the ASUS P6TD palm edition only differnce was theres non expect promo price sweet.

You got that one right. Hundred serie is just bling bling cheese graters and not even that big ones (900 is horribly small, even knowing that seeing it first time in live was WTF moment) and while P193 again has E-ATX depth vertically it's midi tower like P18x-serie.

Cosmos is E-ATX case so it will take any graphics card. Biggest card length allowed by PCI(e) specification is ~31cm while E-ATX motherboard's width is ~33cm.
Overcomplex front end design and most exhaust elsewhere than heat producing components just isn't exactly best design for cooling. (strugless cooling more than couple HDDs and lowest 5.25" bays is wasted for only fan position for cooling HDDs)

As you mentioned weight both of those are among the heaviest cases you can get.
Aluminium Lian Li A70FB would weight about half and even mass damping of big panels with bitumen mat adds only couple kilograms.

thanks for your input.glad someone else doesnt like the antec cases. the cases you linked me too are great cases but not suited to me.as dont have the look im wanting the cosmos pure.seems to be winning at the moment in way of air cooling. if i only knew is the cosmos S window would fit the PURE i would buy it in shot. however surely if i bought the corsair obsidan. with a H50 WATER BLOCK would that be better for temp as well as having fans. im soo stressed out.on this unreal. part me wants space but likes a nice looking case.then i think will it fit long cards and still give me room. then i want a side window.its like trying to get everything in one.yes the obsidan does all that.part from some say really poor for air cooling. some say the H50 doesnt do much to improove it.so they all say stick with the cosmos pure.

if anyone could let me know if they have tryed or know that the cosmos S window fits the cmos PURE let me know. thanks to both u guys for help keep them comming.without splashing out hundreds pounds what video card is good at moment i have a ati powercooler 4870 1gb..

The Cosmos S window will fit, I know this because I used to have a Cosmos S

SWEET thankyou i beleave thats made my day.thoe my partner prefers the obsidan but you cant never win with a women.

one last thing can you assure me this will fit the most latest of graphics cards still have room.by the hdd bays.for future vga's as this build will have to last me for like 3 years.as my sons now 1 i cant afford to do no more builds.

lol. ALSO would it made a better option for me to go with the obsidan if i did put in a h50 corsair water cpu block instead of a whole water kit.? or would i still be better of to stick with the pure. ? cheers top man.
