Although given who it is I suspect the airbag is the least of any prospective owners problems.
Airbag light isn't part of the MOT, you'd never get a 306 through if it was!

Considering there is a 'light check' when you first turn the car over . . . .
Check your plugs. Its common for the seat ones to loosen or disconnect as passengers can kick them.
