Just searched some info. about Xonar Xense. It almost makes sure that ASUS will bundle Xonar Xense with Senn PC350(because they show this combination on both CeBIT and Computex).

But why they did this bundle? Does that mean they changed something in Sennheiser PC 350 so that these two products can combine each other to ensure the supreme performance? Well…I mean there are some many headsets/headphones in the market, why choosing Senn PC350?

Why not I suppose? They wanted t bundle it with something Senheiser are a good make of cans. It's reasonable since it's a pc product that you want headphones with a built in mic.

Therefore for the money, you can't arguable do better than the PC350's. I don't think the pC350's have been altered but the Xense has been specifically tuned to get the best out of the PC350's.

I just hope they sell the card without the headphones as well.

If you can only buy the Xense with the PC350's, then it's a pointless bundle, unless one needs the 7.1 analogue connection. Reading a review, it said the PC350's are not good enough quality for what the Xense is capable of. It said, it is better to buy an Essence and better quality phones. It also said, if one does want the PC350's, then buying a D2/D2X might be a better choice, and a cheaper one, as there would be no noticeable loss of quality when using the PC350's with the D2/D2X, compared to the Xense.

I too like Greebo, hope they offer the card on it's own.

What does the Xense offer over the Essence?

Slightly off topic but why has Greebo got a custom watercooled soundcard? Is it overclocked?

lol. I thought the sound processing chip had been overclocked or something. I know some of the latest creative products have a fair amount of dedicated processing power

I did read something where someone tried it, they thought it produced artifacts. Someone else said, it made no difference what so ever. Maybe overclocking is all to do with system performance and nothing to do with SQ. Any gains I can't see being much TBH, not enough to risk killing an £80 sound card. :p

Maybe one for the hardcore elite lot, who want every last FPS gain possibly.
