Advice please, pc won't post!! Updated pls read!

Oh man, I think I might have killed my mainboard..!

I just installed a new psu and now nothing happens when I turn the pc on. The power light glows and the fans, cpu and chassis, spin up but I get nothing else. No beeps, nothing. I've put the old psu back in a I'm getting the same thing..

Can anyone give me some advice for anything else I can try? The mobo is a Zotac 9300 wifi. All I'm running to test it is 4gb of ram and a intel ssd. It has a nforce chipset so I'm plugging the monitor into that though I usually have a video card connected too.

Any advice would be really appreciated on this one guys!

Ack! I take it you've checked the cables already and have enough power to the mobo?

Check the RAM is seated properly, same for GFX card and CPU, you might have nudged something out of alignment.

try it with just the cpu in and youll hear some beeps.

then just insert the ram

after that the hdd etc...

I've checked all the cables n ram etc, all fine.

Just taken everything out except for the cpu and I'm not getting any beep. All that happens is the power light/button comes on and the cpu fan spins up.. nothing else.

Tried with the video card you usually use connected?

Do you have the 4 pin connector to power the CPU connected?

Yep tried with vid card.

Ok I really need to know if it's the mainboard that's gone.

This is what I'm going to do
Disconnect everything from the mainboard.
Remove mainboard from chassis
Place mainboard on tabletop and plugin ONLY the main psu power cable,the cpu power cable and the chassis power switch lead.
Turn on the pc.

Now after doing that if I don't get anything out of the board sound wise. Can I be pretty sure that it's the board that is borked?

Really need some help here guys, this is turning into a catastrophe for me!

So the fans and everything do turn on?
