It's about what they THINK it says, not what it actually says, lol. However, in their defence, the voices do sound like south park, so I wouldn't be surprised if the 'black hole' is a subtle and intentional play on words for a cheap laugh. Or not?

Sounds like holes to me too. I don't see what all the fuss is about, the NAACP is being a bit unreasonable here, and there's clearly no intent to cause offence. It's a touchy subject, but I think the NAACP is only prolonging unfair distinctions between ethnicities by highlighting this. Hallmark say it's the first complaint in 3 years, so it would never have been an issue otherwise. Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction to one person's poor hearing and over-active imagination.

They're just don't know what a black hole is, as such they mis-read it and take offence.

I guess science isn't everyone's cup of tea but seriously, black holes, they're in the press and popular media - if you're too stupid to understand what a black hole is you are too stupid to hold any sort of office (even if it's just a quango).

I'm pretty sure if among lots of other space language you take the words "black holes" to mean black women then you're the one being racist, or did they hear "black hoes"

Incredibly stupid.

Looks like a group of people trying to create race outrage where there is none. They probably profit from such ignorance.

That sounded exactly like black holes to me. I fail to understand how you could mishear that, especially given that the solar system is the theme of the card.
