A level biology

What would be the bets way to go about getting myself an A-Level in biology?

Would it be best to go through somewhere like LearnDirect or could i approach colleges or 6forms in schools and ask to join
 
As far as I am aware, you actually have to do it via a 6th form college because you need to do coursework for it. I've asked this exact same question on the forum before on behalf of a friend.
 
You could probably do it as an evening course at a college. My friend did A leve psychology when she was 25 as an evening course.
 
I'm currently doing a Human Biology course at local school round here. It's a 30 week (4hrs per week) course with written assignments etc. Its a HEFC course which is organised by Northumbria Uni. Check with your local uni and see if they have any similar schemes going.

I've got the final exam tomorrow!

oh right, is this the equivalent of an A level then? also how much does this course cost to do?
 
Yeah, as has been said, I think all examination boards have coursework for biology. I'm gonna be doing AS biology next year, I just hope there's not too much plant biology as that stuff bores me

Off topic, but there's some awesome UB40 news :cool:
 
well ive failed a uni course i didnt want to do, one i only picked because of geographical reasons and family, but ow im older and more mature i have now decided its time to pursue what i want and take it seriously, starting at the basics..i like whats in it and want the qualification i knew is hould fo got 4 years ago now :(

What career are you looking into that requires biology, if you don't mind me asking?

I think I emailed you a few weeks ago :\, don't know if you got it. They're working on some ORIGINAL material after releasing labour of love IV a few months ago. Also, they're putting together some dub tracks. Dub is reggae without vocals and it sounds awesome, the dub setlist will be known as DUB40, and they'll probably perform it live :D

Well i have a huge aspiration to end up in the emergency services.

As the police force are not recruituing and dont look to be for some time now, and i actually do want a degree to my name aswell as as much life experince possible then i want to pursue a degree in paramedical science at portsmouth university

To start this off then i need to have an a-level in biology and a full driving license
