Scariest thing you have ever done ?

Getting stuck in a wreck while i was diving, Went through the hold and tried to squeeze past a compressor and got jammed between it and the hull. Spent a few minutes struggling to free my self before a realised i could just take the kit of and pull it through after me.

Just for the record, that's not the highest bungee jump in the world ;)

I did the Verzasca Dam (highest without guide ropes @ 220m) but I wouldn't say it was scary. Definitely thrilling and mind boggling amounts of WTF but I wouldn't call it scary.

Some of the scariest things I have experienced have been nothing like what is mentioned above. When normal everyday things turn on you. That's scary.

Actually one of the scariest things I've ever done is the taxi ride from Cairo to the hotel next to the Pyramids.
That was a real shocka.

ATC stuff, right? I'd be really interested in any stories you have to share.

Content : scariest thing I've ever done is being with my wife as she gave birth. For some reason I was utterly convinced there were going to be serious complications and I was absolutely bricking it. Turned out fine though. It's probably the only high pressure situation I can think of that I wasn't really prepared for or able to deal with.

Bringing this little man into the world.

Having some Space cakes which must have been laced with something else. Went blind , deaf and couldn't move for a few hours + other horrible things.

And being chased though Phuket by a half naked angry lady boy at 4am. But this was also the biggest adrenaline rush i had ever had.

Taking my mums car for a "spin" when I was 15 at 3am when everyone was asleep, hit 66mph on a narrow street too. Next thing I see cops behind me, I abslolutly **** myself. my heart stopped ohnestly, then they turned away, most scared and most relieved in my life ever.

Fully star out swear words.

Jumping off one of the observation bridges over the Grand Canyon, the scary bit was getting arrested for doing it and threatened with deportation, considering we were in the Armed Forces and based in the US at the time getting deported would have been rather embarassing as well as incredibly detrimental to our careers. Some fast talking and a payment of a rather large fine sorted it.
