Micro-SIM, do we know yet if you can simply cut down a SIM to work on iPhone 4?

Or will the phone recognize its an older SIM and reject it? :confused:

I just want to cut down my existing SIM and avoid dealing with/waiting for o2 to supply a new SIM.
 
Just cut it down, they are the same its just excess plastic. I don't think it makes any bit of difference to the phone size really, else it would have been in phones for years, just another "feature" for the iPhone
 
I've seen smaller phones with normal sims, they have the same sim slot in the iPad...

In answer to the OP's question though:

I be cutting mine down to fit in my iPhone 4 if I buy one. I'm sure people used to do this years ago when sim cards where the same size as credit cards and moved to the standard size we use now.
 
Cool, so ordered the iPhone 4, talked to o2, they said as long as i registered interested in the iPhone 4 on their site, i should receive instructions on how to get a microsim before launch.

If i dont get one in time, i'll just cut my current sim up

People just love leaving words out where Apple come into it. You don't say "loads of people have got desire" do you? But for some reason you do if it's made by Apple.:p
