Sorry, people kept telling me that this game would never go FTP. I were right :D

I cant wait. By the way, Codemasters are absoulte suckage for MMOs, play them on Turbine instead if you can.

I would, but I have a lifetime sub and several characters in the eu.

Well its still not f2p, not in the real sense, its just more like an extended demo. So you still weren't right, so NAH NAH NAH NAH ! :)

Yeah i should have done :) lvl 13 now but finding some quest people is a nightmare in this game

Yup :) Its brilliant isnt it. Reminded me of the old days of MMO playing before I got used to relying on the crutch of addons and mods in games. Nice to have to do things for myself again instead of being told what to do and where to go like an infant :D

But isnt it pay to play with a cash shop instead of fees like DDO?

In DDO I paid £80 and got all the content, thats worth it as opposed to paying fees for several years.

DDO was really short though, I've played through everything on 4 different characters. I just like to be able to go back and login whenever I like and play a bit when I feel like it without having to pay fees.

I already have DDO + LOTRO on Codemasters as well, I gave up on them after recieving horrible coverage and disconnects every 5 seconds, with their CS doing nothing but blaming my ISP which worked in every other game, and I called them and they said they do not block any data from any game or website, that they had no idea why LOTRO wasnt working and that they had been recieving several complaints about that one particular game.

Codemasters literally told me to get a new ISP while I were on a £5.99 per month sub (just paid for 3 months then cancelled, game connection was terrible, no fun, and I lost my £5.99 offer). Stuff them, I can play on Turbine instead now.

The LOTRO "f2p" is level capped at 50 so to go further than that you need to pay something.

You also only get "quests" up to around mid 20s, so unless you want to grind those next 25 levels on mobs you need to pay something for the extra quests.

So in effect, the actual "f2p" part is really just an extended demo. Its not like you can just play the entire game free like a true "f2p" mmo.

I dont mind Codemasters, havent had any troubles or issues with them. The one time I needed to contact their customer support was when I was trying to reactivate my LOTRO account after a year away and had forgotten both my username and password. They sorted that out very promptly, so cant say I have any complaints in that regard.

Not at the moment, still mulling over whether to reactivate my account and buy the lifetime sub. My mouse keeps moving to the icon, but my mind keeps holding it back :)

(that and the first of the 3 world cup games starts in less than an hour :D )

Well I dont really drink so its more like 0 pints @ £3 = £0 :D

I'm still mulling it over, cant decide. Hard to tell as it will depend upon what effect the f2p has on the wonderful Laurelin community that I played on for so long. Dont really want to spend £75 on it if I play on and off for a few months and then dont play at all. Also dont want to spend £75 on it if everyone buggers off back to WoW the moment Cataclysm comes out.

We'll see. Got time yet before the £75 deal ends, more time to mull it over. :)
