I know i only posted a bit back, but ive managed to get my budget up to 650 and would really like some advice, 42" or 40" is what im looking at and its going to be used for general TV and Blu Ray movies, anyone got any suggestions ive been looking at all the websites since i last posted and im still no clearer to what to get and i was hoping to get one today :(

Please help

LG 47LH3000 can be had for that price and it is a good 1080p LCD set.

There is no need to spend the full £650 on a 40-42 inch set imo.

We have a Samung Series 5 40inch downstairs and that is a decent tv too. imo don't bother with the 200hz rubbish they are massively more expensive as they are the current new(ish) gimmick.

You are crying out for a Sony Bravia KDL-40EX503 tbh, Trade in a old Tv (no matter what it is) and you can pick one up for £650.

40" LCD with freeview HD, Gets good reviews and can be had with 5yrs warranty.

:)

Bump bump

Basically i want a 40 or 42" inch screen with little motion blur (plasma be best?) 1080p Hd and Freeview HD built in, surely i could get that somewhere?

A bit of broad statement and certainly not what I've experienced with my 42" LH5000, whilst it's not totally refined with some types of broadcasts/programs it's works perfectly with sport which is what I wanted it for.

There's a gaming option that automatically switches it off so there's no lag.

Sorry I did not mean it is rubbish, what I meant is the way it is marketed means it is expensive. Not so much now it is all 3d LED now, but a few months ago 200-600hz tv's were marketed a lot and where the new(ish) product so where priced far above the rest.
