Currentely I'm using TVeristy to stream media from my laptop to the PS3.

This is fine but with limited space, I would like a NAS.

Would the NAS work as a media server? Or do I still need the laptop on?

If anyone knows of a NAS that can directly feed media to the PS3 please let me know!

Any nas that functions as a media server will work. Personally I'm fond of readynas boxes, although they aren't cheap (readynas duo is ~£140 disk free) but they're very, very solidly built and I recommend buying them and the hard drives separate (netgear overcharge).

Better question, what budget and how much space is needed?

No budget, but the readynas is the one I was looking at!

Are you using this to serve a PS3 atm?

I need about 2TB.
