Anyone? I plug it into my PC with mini USB cable and nothing happens. Desire pops up with a message asking if I want to just charge or mount as a storage device. I do the later, and nothing happens. I also can't see a way to browse the SD card from within the phone. Do I have to download a poxy app for this? Surely it should do it out of the box?

HELP! Getting fed up with this phone at the moment and last day tomorrow of my cooling off period. At the moment it's going back hence my other thread about video out of sync.

:(

You need an app like astro file manager to browse SD card.

What does your phone say about your SD card? Can it see it? Its in settings > storage.

Ok so I downloaded an app so I can view SD contents and file system on the phone. This works. However, are you telling me that Windows does not habe the ability to browse the devide without downloading software like Droid explorer? Also it says "A tool to manage your rooted android device with the simplicity of Windows Explorer.", well my phone is not rooted. Every other phone I had, I connected via USB lead and Windows took care of it and I could browse the device.

You should be able to just plug it in, choose SD storage on the phone and a "removable disk" should show up in My Computer....

No idea whats wrong if thats not happening...

USB drivers corrupted as I can't see any storage now when I plug something in. God sake.

EDIT: Might not be my PC as laptop won't find it either.

You shouldn't need to use the HTC drivers to mount the SD card. Its seen as a normal USB flash drive and mounts automatically via Windows

This.

I assume you tried different USB ports on your PC? It works very well out of the box so you shouldn't be getting issues from the phone regarding this.
