I've had a 5D mk2 for a while now and used it for stills and never for video other than when I help out with a friend of mine who does wedding videos. I get to see his end results with the footage I take and am always impressed.

So I thought I'd give the filming/editing side a try myself to see what it's like plus I've just picked up my first video job so thought I should maybe actually do some editing before doing it for a client. :D

It's a bit of a rush job but I was really impressed with the quality, wish I had a Blu-ray burner and player now!

I'd blanche the tomatoes and then skin them.

Seriously - really good look to the film. I haven't tried the video on mine yet, beyond just messing around at the PC. Where did you get the Glidetrack from?

Nice wife ;)

Thanks, I didn't film her face as her long flowing beard, skinhead and Adams apple tends to distract some people.

Haha, I won't tell her about blanching (I don't even know what that is :D) for fear of her not cooking for me again. The Glidetrack was from my friend who films the weddings, he bought a new one and gave me his old one.

If you'd like one speak with Alistair from http://www.glidetrack.com/ it's a great piece of kit!

The DoF is shallower than i expected on a 24-70. (even though i have this combo, i've only used the movie mode like 3 times)

Was that shot in M ?

The final episode of the latest season of 'House' was shot with this camera. It was quite good in places :)

Oops, I forgot to mention your link is very nice :)

I'm getting mildly jealous of being unable to try out some of this myself...come on Nikon, you owe we decent HD video in my next body...

Very nice though, I've seen supposed professionals produce worse results so I'm sure you'll be producing some stunning stuff with some practice...

Tell her to change her cutting technique before she loses the ends of her fingers ;)

:p

I know, I'm always badgering her about that. She just says that she's never cut herself before but I'm waiting for the day I hear the scream.

Next up, doing a proper video. Went out yesterday to shoot some footage but the weather being so bright meant it wasn't the easiest. I think I might need to get a screw on variable ND.
