I want to drill holes into a testing bench. how would i go about it

i have a testing bench made out of wood byt would like to drill some holesi n for some mb standoffs.

has anybody done this before and what size drill buit should i use?

Hmm the stand offs have such a small thread that I realy don't think they'd last very long in a piece of wood.

thats what thought. but i was thinking maybe glue would help?

you could. drill the hole 0.5 bigger then use a drop of araldite and push it in, and when is dry it will make a form around the thread and grab on to the wood and the standoff. which can be then unscrewed in the future if need be

or you could find a nut the right size and drill a hole to make the nut flush and araldite that in

either way would work fine
