Gran Turismo Then & Now

The first will always be the best one to me :)

Still hoping GT5 will be here by the end of the year :)

Found it pretty funny that all the footage was CG and no in-game.

GT1 looks shocking by todays standards and no where near what they make out in this trailer. GT2 is still my favorite though!

i think they should stop making stupid trailers showing absolutely nothing of this supposed game theyv been making for 20 years, and actually work on the game!

its been 90% for two years now.

i bet its going to be absolutely ***** - no game is worth that much dev time.

I wouldn't be surprised if it briefly flashes up on a screen, then for nothing more to be said about it.

And as we have seen before, even if it does get a release date, it means nothing anyway.

You do realise that the development team themselves have never given a release date so whether people think it's been delayed, or pushed back is totally irrelevant. Polyphony have come out and given us a Japanese release date that it is still on target to meet, so for all intents and purposes the only solid release window we've been given is still on course to be met.

It's going to be nothing short of spectacular when it arrives.

If it takes much longer, it will just end up being disappointing. Too much waiting makes people hype it up more, to justify the delay, which will just lead to disappointment.

its not irrelevant what a stupid thing to say, its the fact that this game has been hanging on its its 90% motto for years now with absolutely nothing to show for it asides from some demo that was then not a demo that looked like poo.

The game is now in its seventh year of development - 7 years!!!! any other developer would have been told to GTFO.

such a fanboy statement - youv seen absolutely nothing of the game let alone played it. i dont expect reviews to be good mainly because its taken so bloody long to come out and everyone is going to be really critical of it to try and see why it took so long!

It is going to be spectacular... as we have seen with the last 4 games. PD's attention to detail is immense. No other games developer can come close.

However, i'm getting so annoyed at the length of time it's taken to be released that if it gets pushed back again, i'm tempted to boycott it!!

Think there has been only one official delay. Because it was announced so early I think people generally think the game has been consistently delayed and Polyphony owe them.

I think this game is going to have to be something special to meet the hype.

I bought and played two Forza games during the wait for GT5 - I really don't think it's going to be good enough to match the development time put into it. It will need a paradigm shift from what I've experienced of Prologue.

Apparently Forza 4 may be announced at any time now - this is getting beyond a joke.

It should be reminded that games like Killzone 2 have long since been announced, developed and bought out, with a sequel also well underway. Then you have games like God of War 3 which has already come out after GoW2 which was only shortly released before GT5's existence was confirmed. Putting it into perspective, there is something seriously wrong with the management at Polyphony. I would bet you any money that when the game finally comes out, there will be a Halo 2-style post mortem where there's nothing but criticism of the development process by the game makers themselves.
