Are 2nd hand beds worth anything?

Hi all,

Buying a new bed on Saturday, being 21 I think it's time I went from a single to a double

My current bed was bought in 2002, its a pocket sprung single mattress made by Kozee Sleep.

Basically I'm wondering if it's worth flogging? or just to chuck it? seems a shame to get rid of it tbh, it's uber comfy

The frame is in good nick, it's got a broken wheel/leg and the draws aren't much cop now but overall still a v.good bed

Originally £500 was paid for it, any ideas what it could be worth now?

I would generally say no as not many people want a second hand bed (especially the mattress).

Give it to a local charity they are always on the look out for stuff.

Put it on eBay with no reserve and you'll find out pretty quickly what its value is

Advertise it locally on something like gumtree I'm sure you'll find a buyer.

When I moved into my flat I had hand-downs, second hand things. All sorts. the one big item I went out and bought new from day 1 was a bed.
