Wooden Beams - Furniture building

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any idea where would be the best place to buy either new or reclaimed timber beams to be used in making some furniture.

It will probably be easier if this is in the aberdeenshire area but will be willing to travel for them, looking at needing around 14m of 200sq or something around those sizes, length is important, once I've drawn up what I am doing i'll show you but for now just help with sourcing the beams would be good

My dad got some about 5 years ago from a local fencing company, it may be worth calling a few companies and asking if they have any. He paid about £15 each for second hand ones as he wanted the "used" look.

Company doesn't seem to exist anymore though!

If you take the road from Aberdeen towards Westhill, and keep going through Westhill, past Elrick, and keep going straight on past Skene. On the right, you'll approach a big old church. This is an iron mongers, blacksmith, and timber yard.

Should have something for you.
I'll try and get better directions and the name!

Edit - Here we go. It's more metal work but I've seen reclaimed wood, in particular railway sleepers, when I was last there.

Just to give an idea of the thing I am planning.

Any C&C welcome but still playing around with a few things.

Main structure to be joined using shear pegs and grooves with the black bar across the middle to support the weight of the glass, not sure to do it as a cross or something else, bar to be coated to stop damage to the glass or even made using wood, still thinking about what will look best

Anyway just to give people a picture to what I am thinking about and will update more once I start building.
