Valve has a surprise for us..

Their suprise is probably the fact they aren't doing anything or they're focusing more on consoles.
 
What are Valve supporting/developing other than L4D? Surely other developers maintain and support several games at once?
 
I'm sure Valve are making a new big title, and possibly more besides. The "It'll be done when it's done" as per i.d.software I'm sure applies here. Take id, for example, they've been working on 'Rage' since Q3 2005, that's a year after Doom3 release. So something must be on the horizon.


A HL3 one day, I doubt it very much. Hope I'm wrong there.

The question is, will they bother finishing the story with Ep3 or with HL3?

It must be a given (if of course the voice actress wants to continue doing her voice) that Alex will be a major character of the next game.

It'll be like listening to Last of the Summer Wine if they take any longer, that's for sure.
