What to do with old VHS tapes..!!

It is funny how far we have come, and the thought of rewinding a film after watching it.....seems like a chore!

Yep just mentioned that in my last post. Its even a chore nowadays to select a movie from the DVD rack, take it out and place into the drive to watch it..

We all want on demand via media streaming or cable, sky etc..... We have indeed come a long way...

Heheehe i remeber when 1 special interest tape would do the rounds among all my mates until someone got it stuck in the player. Usually meant it was a really good one and they wanted to keep it

Someone will have them i'm sure.
Someone with not much money would probably love to have a load of old videos for their kids.

no one wants them, really - we tried. You can buy DVD films for pence and DVD players are given away on Freecycle/Freegle these days. You can buy DVD players that play DivX brand new for £10. Most people stopped buying VHS for getting on 10 years ago, it's dead.

Yep, I tried various charity shops, ebay, free papers etc when I had my old collection of VHS to get rid of.
I had about 150 tapes, including some complete box sets, & no one would take them.

Ended up at the tip, I even offered the guy who was working there the chance to have a look though, & he just laughed.

Doubt it, didn't you all people on benifits have the full Sky package and either way the kids are out on the streets earning (stealing).

It's the working class kids that stay in all day, but they've got playstations.

Holy thread resurrection!

After some Googling and calling around local charity shops, I found that Oxfam still take VHS tapes. I'll be donating about 50 later on...
