The EA week on Steam

Is it much better than BF2?

I played BF2 to death - http://bf2s.com/player/43685047/

I still think it is the best game ever made. BFBC2 is a lot more enclosed, a lot more dependent on team play than BF2 but seriously, it kicks some serious butt. There is no way I will be playing it for as long, but you have to get it just for the team gameplay and the graphics will blow you away.

I think it is bit of a masterpiece.

They really should get it, it is a great game. My main problems are the server browser and no squad support on PC for some reason...

There is squad support on pc, unless you mean something else. Server browser isnt perfect, but has been improved via patches so is quite functional now. If you liked BF2 then i would definately recommend bc2, its fairly similar gameplay but action tends to be more concentrated in one area at a time (good thing imo).

Dunno why people are complaining about the £20 for BC2 still £6 or £7 cheaper than most places bar HMV (which only updated their price today) + its on Steam!

Although I did buy BC2 for £14.93 a few weeks ago, would have paid £5 more to get it on Steam tbh.

Just for the posters above who have stated they have already got too many games to play, you will kick yourself for not getting this, BFBC2, despite its few flaws, is an absolute bit of gaming genius.

If you get it, you will DROP everything else you are playing till you are sick of it.

Get it later when the interest has moved on and you will never see just how good it is. ;)

Alternatively, they (meaning I) could only be interested in the single player, and think it's still too pricey for that. I've plenty of games to get through yet, this one will wait. I was hoping for a bigger price cut.

Does the BF2 collection have decent single player campaigns?

It is appalling. In fact there is no SP campaign you just play the MP maps but with bots. And they are about as stupid as they come.

BFBC2 SP is pretty good to be fair but not my cup of tea. If you just want it for SP, wait till it is less than a tenner. :)

That's not fair at all, it was never designed to be single player, only a multiplayer game.

Wouldn't catch anyone complaining about TF2 or CS:S not having a single player!!

He isn't complaining about the SP, he is just pointing out that it is poor, in response to a question asking about it!

I wish they'd bring C&C TFD up to date and release it on Steam. Sort out things like the garbled colours and crashing bugs and i'd pay £50 for the set.

Might give RA3 another chance, if it's cheap enough. Won't be touching C&C4 though unless it's a quid or less and even then, i'd only buy it to laugh at it.

Thanks! I'll pass on BF2 and keep watching the sales for BC2.

Can't make up my mind to grab BFBC2 for steam deal price or not. Thought I'd read on the forums today that someone said you can get it for around £15? If so, where?!? :):D

I mean getting friends together as a squad before going in game.
