had a rather painfull ebay transaction. No payment from the buyer and no payment till the third threat of negative feedback. Did get paid eventually, but the feedback was hardly amazing or great. Cant really leave negative feedback as they did pay and claim they were away, but its just the done thing to buy something on ebay buy it now, not pay, then "go away" for a week.

So what can i say in the positive feedback without lieing ?

I don't sell on ebay but do buy ocassionally, it's shocking that sellers can't leave feedback that's truthful and negative ones at that. I'd simply not give any feedback on this.

Dont leave feedback until they have! trust me, they will give you bad feedback in spite after you give them bad feedback unless ebay have now stopped this flaw?

They stopped that problem by only allowing sellers to leave positive feedback.

I've not sold on eBay for a couple of years, but that is really bad. How is a trader (who IMO is at just as much risk as the buyer) alble to know if it's safe to deal with someone?

I've had a competitor on ebay create at least 5 different accounts, buy my items (to remove my ad) and pay by a bounced echeque. I pay fees on items I haven't sold and ebay can't do anything about it, I can't even leave negative feedback.

Paypal is even worse with their chargebacks, basically any buyer can get their money out your account anytime they want.

ebay+paypal=fail

I didn't know this!

It sounds worse than it is, you pretty much hose your entire PayPal/eBay accounts by doing it so it's pretty much a one shot deal. It does happen but not nearly as much as people think, I have sold several expensive items on eBay without issues such as a MacBook, several iPods and an Xbox 360.
