E3 2010 - Schedule

I expect more GT5 info at gamescom TBH, Europe is GTs biggest market and August will be close enough to start the hype train rolling even faster. As for the conference looked like Sony did the right thing announcing those games before E3, as there was a lot of content.
Want to more about the Sly HD remakes and that heroes on the move looked quite fun. I would rate Ninty as the "winner" only because of the 3DS new console hardware is always cool, then Sony and MS following a distant third. I was suprised about all the exclusive (not timed AFAIK) content for some big games and not just some map pack, character or weapon. Deadspace 2 with dead space extraction is a great idea as is the new MOH with frontlines included. Liked the idea that some games will come with both normal and move versions on the one disk pretty good idea if you ask me.
Nice to see Gabe at the conference Sony stealing exclusives instead of MS lol, who would have thought a few years back that Kojima would be at a MS show and Gabe Newell at a Sony Event.

the psn + games arent free though, you effectively rent them for the duration of your subscription - he was very sneeky about that part.

Aye, he seemed to mention that part a couple of times. I suspect it won;t be the case. Sony don't even stop account sharing of games or buying form other regions, I doubt they would bother locking (what is clearly gonna be crap games or games out for donkeys years) to your subscription status of PSN+.

As long as mp is free on psn don't care much about psn+. Biggest reason i don't buy a 360 is live for mp and the bloody locking out of wheels and the like.

Don't be absurd.

It's only a conference to show off some new tech/games - and i'm sure all 3 companies have some things up there sleeves.

Just because MS mostly demo'd Kinect doesn't mean we should forget about games that will naturally sell by the bucket loads... Halo, Mass Effect, Gears to name a few.

Good to see GT5 getting a release date and PS3 joining in the motion stuff, good competition all round.

I am strangely optimistic about Kinect too.

I like the 360 as much as the next man, but Sony seem to have stepped up a gear, and getting (probably paying a fair bit) for more exclusive content then I've seen in quite a while, And clearly they've ploughed masses more into getting Move supported much more widely..

I do like some aspects of Kinetic, it's different to normal waggle stuff, and actually for my 4/6 year old, there is more relevant family 'get your ass of the couch' stuff, but it kind of stops there, I think Move will be integrated into just about every game to differing extents, Kinetic may just be supported by a few games relatively..

I'm sure I'll feel differently tomorrow, but I am the kind of person that wants good solid competition, for MS/Sony to be fighting it out, but I'm not quite as happy with MS's future as Sony's appears to be..

:)

Any link to a replay of the Sony conference? I completely missed it due to a football match :(

Currently browsing Gametrailers for one, but doesn't seem to be working........

The more I think about it, the less I am convinced about the 3DS as a "DS" console. The problem is the action *MUST* be on the top screen otherwise you won't have the 3D effect and have so lost most of the point of the console. Therefore games such as the current DS Zelda series just won't get done (with such beautiful controls) which is a shame.

It seems like they thought about doing a new Game Boy... then just mushed it into a DS body (along with the same touchscreen as every other DS) to maintain the brand.
