Why would the colour of the leather effect this? Obviously dye can rub off of jeans etc, but something sharp is just as likely to damage light colours as it is dark.

It looks good is the thing on most cars.
Colours don't appeal to me, the car just looks less sleek. Very few colours I like on a car.

Black car, silver alloys, wood dash, black leather seats. Is about average for me.

White body, black alloys, black leather seats, black dash. Now we're talking in terms of looking cool.

Remember when buying my Volvo took me about 12months to find one with black on black in the spec i wanted. Then when i went to see it realised why it was so rare (also that satnav from 99 was pants

) and got a cream interior.

Nothing, its just the norm which is great when it comes to sell on. My interior has tan leather and I cant sell it so I will never buy a non black interior again

Boring black or grey is fine for an interior IMO, when you are driving you are looking outside the car, not admiring the colour of the seats.

My last one was black and finished with aluminium trim it got a bit depressing after a while, a bit like being in a coffin. All changed now with vermilion red and oyster leather, it’s so airy and a pleasure to be in.
