Hey, I currently have the NEC20WGX2 which as you know is an excellent all round monitor. I need a size upgrade though and also the ability to use my PS3 on it.

I was originally looking at the new DellU2410 but it's a bit too expensive and the response time isn't very good. I see a lot of people on here rate the BenQ G2420HDBL but the fact that it's cheap and that it's a TN panel put me off - is it really that good? Am I going to notice a big drop in quality after been being use to this IPS screen?

Primary uses btw are gaming and blu-rays.

I'd like to know this too. However if you read the extensive explanations on the sticky thread above you can see that the speed is not always measured in the same way and the IPS panels seem to come out slower those one cannot see it.

When I tried a TN panel (the wrong monitor was sent out) I found that moving my head changed colours and the view from the side was not that great. My monitor is an MVA panel which works fine though IPS are thought to be better.

No brainer really if gaming and blu-ray are top of your list being able to use 120HZ refresh rate
