Horse that is :D

Something a little different from what I normally shoot.

Getting the 'moment' just right where the horse is in the correct pose, in focus, and in the frame is pretty difficult! Also relies on the horse getting it right!

Final image, not for critique, to show how high the jump was, my sister is 5ft 5.

All taken with the 50mm. Enjoy

Good stuff but you need to watch your not cropping parts of the animal out!!! The tail and nose are often not fully featured!!

:D

Indeed! Kinda tough when he's moving at an alarming rate and your concentrating on not being trampled but good fun all the same :D

Number 4 is excellent mate. I've been invited to attempt something similar at a show in a few weeks, but I've read bad things about horsey types.

That and horses always seem to want to eat my hair ::confused::

Cheers VA. Well, I'm very used to being around horses, worked with them from 8 till 12 years old and sisters had one or two almost my entire life so I don't mind being up close like for number 3.

Go for it, what have you got to lose?

I really detest horses. One tried to throw me over a cliff in Wales when I was only a few years old. Since then I'm convinced they're all out to get me.

I really like 3. If you have seen a horse in the flesh recently, you can really understand the power required to jump as it has done, yet there is little effort on display - very graceful.

Tbh I don't like the above horse, he doesn't really have any personality. My sisters last horse who is now retired is awesome though :)

Thanks, and yep, its very odd. They weigh so much and almost float through the air in slow motion!

AHHHHHHH Horses, only a couple of days ago I had a shoot with a Model who owns some horses and we went to look at them as I wanted to do a shoot with a naked chick riding on a white horse bareback. Found out that I'm very allergic to the horse hair and my eyes puffed out to the point I could not see out of one :D

Looks like that shoots off now :(

Nice set Phate as said before just watch your cropping as its a bit tight and also not to keen on the boarders. ;)
