Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online

Clever game mechanics can hide it, I will however ragequit the moment I'm tasked with retrieving x number of wolf pelts.

If you want to become a Son of Fenris marine, then you had better go fetch me some fething pelts!

I'm currently reading the space wolf series, it's pretty good so far. One of the better space marine series.

I loved Eisenhorn and Ravenor - But in my heart of hearts my favourite series will always be Gaunt's Ghosts. My first Warhammer 40K series. :)

Looks a bit small for a Warhound Titan... They're supposed to be over 15 metres high. At least in the higher res screenshots look less cartoony than the video did.

Looks good to me :) And the first bit of gameplay you see was a marine with a crosshair right? 3rd person shooter style, could be interesting.

Yeah i notice that as well. Looks like there could be more user input then *click bad guy* *click attack*.

bah let the teenagers think what they want... the oldies know the score :p

WOW hardly took it's look from Warhammer. WOW is more fisher price, bright colours, Warhammer is far more gritty and "real". They share races in common of course but neither invented those races really.

As I recall, Warcraft was originally going to be a Warhammer game but the license got pulled, and Blizz changed the series to the Warcraft we know and love, which is why the parallels and associations are made. The similarities were more pronounced in War1&2 and Blizz more heavily diverged with 3 and beyond. You can see a lot of War40K influence in Starcraft as well, what with the marines and zerg being effectively marines and tyranids.

In essence WoW directly grew out of Warhammer, even if the series' have diverged.

I think its a knight, remember titan legions board game? It looks like it and could justify the size.

Meh.
There hasn't been a good MMORPG since UO.
Every game since has been a quest doing race to the highest level.

When I created my Blacksmith in UO it took around 6 months for him to reach Grandmaster.
Honestly probably my happiest six months in an MMORPG.

Quoted for truth! :D

I hate EQ for what its done to the MMORPG game

Just finished Eisenhorn and I'm on The Founding right now. Very good series. Space Wolf series is OK but not my favorite. Probably my favorite is the Ultramarine series but more for Uriel and Honsou. The new Salamander series is off to a good start too.

2013 realease date :( , well i was hoping too much that it would be just around the corner. Lets hope they don't mess it up.

New trailer with what looks like some actual gameplay footage from 30 sec onwards :). Hopefully it's given the development time it needs to make a great MMO and not end up as another one for the scrap heap.
