worst phone you ever used?

Worst phone I've ever owned? Either the Sony Ericsson T68i (a massive step backwards from my previous Nokia 8210) or the Sendo X (decent software for the time let down by terrible build quality).

Worst phones in general? Any Motorola phone from about 2003 to 2008.

Bosch 509e

I've had no real sticking points with my HTC Hero (which is still running a standard ROM) and when I owned my T68i I didn't really have anything against it either.

The only thing that might save it from being sold is the 2.1 update when it eventually gets here. And no, I refuse to muck around with my phone with custom roms, i don't have time for it, i just need it to work.

You'll probably remain disappointed. Modaco released some early builds based on the Taiwanese 2.1 update and the speed isn't much better than the default 1.5 rom I think. The phone still needs a couple of seconds sometimes to do the task switching/memory swapping which introduces lag. When it finishes that then the phone responsiveness comes back to the level you would hope for.

When Modaco release their Modaco 4 rom based on the European release then it will fix the majority of speed issues but without making massive changes to the ROM that introduce bugs; it is designed for speed and stability at the expense of the fancy features that you won't need. At that point it will "just work" while HTC have given up on the phone.

For me it would be the Nokia n73. Everything was so sloooooow. Open the Camera and it took about 10 seconds for the camera to start up. Rubbish keypad. Really bad call quality although I think mine might have been bordering on faulty becuase I had to have the call volume on full all the time. Battery lasted just over a day. For a phone that just calls and texts, that's pretty bad. It did have some apps, MS office viewers etc. It seemed very bulky compared to other phones with the same capabilities. I kept it for about 4-5 months before selling it and buying a w810i, which was a phone I sold when I upgraded to the n73. It was such a relief to have one again after using the n73 for a few months.

It was all of the above that stopped me buying an n95 when everyone had them.

SE K850. I thought(and still think) the K810 was one of the best phones i've ever used and was excited about the K850. I got it and it was crap.I had 3 as it kept breaking, annoying little keypad, camera was total crap and didn't work properly.

LG viewty - I thought it'd be good but it really wasn't.Touch screen was unresponsive and it was slow.Camera was pretty good though.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic - MP play is about the best thing other wise it's just a Christmas cracker gift. Trouble is with most of these phones.. They only do an ok'ish job of everything. I wish i had got the iPhone when i had the chance.

Im using this just now as I'm in the transitional period between iPhones, Sony Errison Z200 I think its called. It is, without doubt, the worst phone in history of all mobile phones. That is all.

Motorla Startac - the first LCD model.
Terrible signal reception unless the aerial was pulled out.
The battery was in the top half on the phone, so any attempt to emulate Capt. James T Kirk resulted in the phone flying out of my hand.

Samsung Jet

Its not fast like it was marketed, the camera is absolute crap, the screen is crap and the touchscreen is highly frustrating and unresponsive and the internet browser, I cant even think about the internet browser without wanting to smash the phone

Cant wait for upgrade time back to Sony and a decent phone with a decent camera I cant wait

What did all you Viewty haters dislike about it? Worst phone ever? with 640x480@60fps video, 120fps video, 5mp auto/manual focus camera, small, light, sure the interface was a little inconsistent but it was definitely one of the best phone's I've had.

NEC E606, one of first 3G phones released, battery life was that bad they supplied it with 2 batteries, both of which could be used in a day!

Oddly enough, I still have it somewhere!

Boo-Yah!... Had me one of these!.. actually me and the missus had one each!.. Bought em from 'Supadrug' of all places!! The rotating camera was finky, but less than 0.3mp or summut!!, but battery life was close to 2 hours!.. hence the second battery!, which discharged its self if not used!!.. the 3 network was crap around then too (dunno if its any better now!! ;) )

Even tried out the 'video calling'.. it was pixelated and stuttery!... re-boxed em, and stuffed em in the loft untill last year when I moved and took em to the tip!.. they dissapeared in the hour it took me to get another load to dump!!.. :D

Still have the car charger floating around the car!!.. :p
