A couple of ST220 questions

On the subject of mechanical niggles to watch out for with Mondeos, make sure to check the handbrake for any signs of the calipers or cables siezing. Pull the handbrake on as far as it will go, then let it off fully and check there is no slack whatsoever in the lever. This problem plagued my Mondeo and virtually every other years I had to have something done to the handbrake after the MOT. Original Ford calipers are chuffing expensive though you can get recon ones for half decent money. Anyway, it was the last straw with me deciding to ditch my Mondeo this year, that and the Auxiliary belt tensioner.

2004 on (I think) have revised rear calipers made by Bosch - these are far more reliable.
No its not? Suits the car perfectly.
06/2004 onwards to be precise! as I found out when I replaced my rear pads and discs the other month!!!!!!!

Cool, my opinion is that its ugly and doesnt suit the car at all.
Having a hard time finding a facelift for as low as some of the people in this thread have said they paid! Unless their values fluctuate, I guess?
Is £7k too much to pay for an 04 with 54k miles when you can get 53/04s with maybe 20k more miles for between 5 and 6k? Or is it just an indicator that the 7k one is likely to be in much better condition?

Only early days yet but it's a lot closer than all the rest so it's a starting point! If it's in good nick and they happen to be open to a bit of bargaining then who knows
