ive downloaded one of the free games but cant get it to run?
any ideas please.
One thing that does worry me is Steam's policy of "don't care" if they mistakenly nuke your entire games collection.

Do you guys not screenshot and store all your last page of purchases (or copy the code and note the date, or print it like it suggests etc)?
Well they have the T&Cs all stitched up so that they can remove your account with no warning for no reason.
Sure, it's hardly ever going to happen, but it's a lot of money to put in control of a company with no appeals process.
Despite the fact that the people it happens to usually say some along the lines of "OMG I NEVER DID ANYTHING!" or... "It was my brother!" or... "I gave my password to this website and they promised me free games!".
I'm confident it's not going to happen to me because I'm not an idiot.

Mistakes still happen.
I'm not saying it's going to, but I don't like the idea of Steam being able to do what they like with hundreds of pounds and then covering their ears and shouting "LALALALALALA" when I try to explain that it was a fault in their systems.
Well I don't want to turn this into an argument because i'm not saying you're wrong.
I just don't like the idea of giving someone else total control over my games collection - because no system is ever 100%.
So er... yeah.![]()

You know you want toAnyhow, help me out. RA3 - deal or no deal?![]()
