The 4850 is the faster card. I believe the 5750 is the card around as fast as the 4850 in the 5 series range.

Have a look at this review of the 5670. In almost all games, the 4850 is a significantly faster card. Considering you can buy a nice one like this for £80 - I think you are on to winner.

A HD4850 is roughly equivilant to a HD5750. The latter of which is roughly 33-50% faster than a HD5670.

5670 is an excellent card, just look at this post showing an i3 530 with a HD 5670 playing Battlefield BC2 at 1920x1200 res (24") with 4xAA
