The USA is still a 3rd world country

Calling it third world is a bit over the top in my opinion but I do think the US is very backwards in a lot of ways compared to other developed countries, and their continued use of capital punishment and the methods they use for it are one example of that.

Not to mention the widespread child sexual abuse that is circumcision, so widely practised and condoned over there.

Aye indeed. It probably leads the way in all fields of research and the 'ability' to do what it wants at one end of the spectrum, but there are genuinely a lot of US citizens who struggle at the other. For example it's the only developed country that would leave N Orleans in the state that it is after Katrina.

He killed one person in a robbery, and another person while trying to escape custody,so not exactly accidents.
Death sentence sounds right, why are we bothered if its humane or not?
People like him are a waste of oxygen, have never given anything to the society they live in,and just cause pain and suffering to others.
Then, when they are caught spend years, and lots of other peoples money trying to avoid the fate so easily meted out to their victims.
I hate criminals.
There are planty of people in the world who are more deserving of sympathy.

A good money saving idea and I hope they bring it back in all states.
In my mind he should have been shot the day after he was Convicted it was a clear cut case.

sounds fair, we allow 1000's of inocent peolpe to die everyday because we dont have money / interest to help them... why spend millions keeping this obviously dangerous person locked up?

Don't see a problem with this at all. He made his choice and that's the end of it so to speak.

Why on earth would you choose to die in this way? They fired at his chest not his head, so you don't die instantly. The heart stops beating, but you're still surely conscious for a good few seconds after being shot.

Not really.

He chose to be executed that way.

I definitely wouldn't choose that way as you're shot in the heart and not the head.

The method is pretty secondary to the act of execution itself to be honest. By firing squad, electric chair or lethal injection the end result is the same and the cost overall probably varies very little when added in to the total costs of executing someone.
