My emails have just stopped working on my blackberry device. Iv tried numerous things, i called up blackberry tech but they think its a fault and want me to send my phone to them and pay £15.

When i goto Setup > Email Settings > i get " Your Device had a problem connecting the the server.

Internet works fine. Google maps works, but Facebook does NOT work. Anything i need a email for keeps giving that error (facebook says "cannot establish connection please try again later")

Anyone got any idea? iv had the phone about 1 1/2 years. Emails have worked perfectly up until now.

Iv tried numerous forums on google, iv tryed a lot of things what other people said worked but still nothing. Any ideas?

Hmmm interesting as you can connect to the internet fine.

Try logging into Vodafone BIS website via your computer...then deleting the email account and re-adding it...if that doesnt work then just send the phone to them to either fix it or replace it....you might get lucky and they might replace with the new Storm2.

thanks for the reply! what is this bis thing? iv seen a lot about it, i went on the website but i dont know my username or password. Is it just your normal vodafone username and pass?

i just tried going on the bis thing on my mobile ( as it said on the site on the pc). I load up google, then i type in BIS vodafone uk and i get the correct site (https://bis.eu.blackberry.com/html). When i go on that link it comes up "A communication failure has occured. The server may be busy. please try again later if the problem persists contact your service provider"

That means there is something wrong with your BIS. I get this problem from time to time, I get O2 to reset my BIS and it seems to be fine after?
