Using a powersupply from Australia in England ok?

Basically I'm building a new pc and to save money I have dug up my thermaltake tr2 550w which I bought when I lived in australia and brought back....now will this be fine to use or do I need a new one??

a quick google says yes its OK, the voltages are the same. probably a different lead is all that is required.

If the input voltage and AC frequency range range covers UK 240V/50Hz then yes.

i believe they do, however, if i am correct they don't have an earth cable. you willb also need a plug adapter.

that sound ok?

My sister, when she emigrated to Australia, was able to use her comp without any problems out there, so I would think the reverse would be true...

Yes, that is fine. You will need a different cable ofc!

If anything is going to blow it will be the PSU which will be protected by an internal fuse if it's decent. You probably do need a new 'kettle' cable, I assume the input socket on the actual PSU has three prongs? That should be standard.
