Electric garage door not opening!

Hey all,

Ive got a electric garage door that goes up and over (chamberlain motor), about 10 yrs old and it stopped working today,cant open it, when i press the remote the motor just whirrs for a couple of seconds and no other movement is made.

Doesnt seem to be a manual release mechanism either? Any ideas?

I think at the back of the box is a nut which you can turn, which makes the garage door go up or down depending on which way you turn it. Try that and press the remote again, might do the trick.

Probably come of the runner or something is jamming it. Have a poke about with a Big stick, Don't use your fingers/hands or any other soft fleshy part of your body.

Have a normal garage door, don't be so lazy
