Hi all,

Just a quick heads up - there are some cheap BMW track evenings over the next few months at various tracks. Great way of getting into it if you've never done one before. They're subsidised by BMW, so are pretty cheap for what you get.

BMW track days

I'm guessing that you need a BMW to take part :p

I'll be booking for Cadwell when I get home from work, 2.5h track time for £40 seems dirt cheap.

Booked it, thanks for the heads up Nick. :)

The events are open to novice trackday drivers only (maximum of three trackdays before) ensuring that your time on circuit will be spent amongst other similarly experience drivers.

Booo :(

Good stuff! It is a bargain - the prices were twice the price originally, but BMW have subsidised a bit more for some reason.

I've never been on a track day, although I have a friend that could probably lend me his Z4 3.0i M Sport lol. I'm only 19 though so there is no way I could get insured lol.

Damn, this trackday is going to turn out more expensive than i first expected. :p

Noticed on Thursday that im going to be needing 4x new tyres before the event, ive currently got ContiSport 2 (205/55/r16) on the front and ContiPremium 2 (215/55/r16) on that rear.

Just wondering if anyone could recommend anything better suited to 50/50 road/trackday use.

Michelin Pilot Exato 2s.

Costco has a sale on at the moment. There is a branch in Trafford Park :)
