Guys (gals),

Quick question.

What do the majority of you do regarding the hundreds of photos that are of no good? Do you delete them or store them elsewhere?

I've several hundred (nearly 2000 to be precise) of photos, with about a quarter of them really only any good.

The ones I show off to friends/family are ones where they've been cropped or I've stitched 2 or 3 together to make a panoramic, some I've messed with to emphasise colour, etc, etc.

But I've still a load of photos which are blurred, simply 'crap', etc, etc.

What do the majority of you do? Keep elsewhere or just bin and get rid?

I only delete files that are completely unusable, ie black frames. Almost anything else I keep, just incase I go back with different tastes at a later date and find something I missed first time.

Plus space is so cheap, the amount of photos including PSD edits etc on a 1TB drive is ridiculous.

I normally delete any out of focus shots as I go, then at the end of the day go through them all again and delete any I missed.
I don't see the point in keeping blurred/out of focus/soft etc pictures?

I usually keep a copy of all the RAW files in a backup folder, then the processed stuff I store in my main folder. Probably should give it a sort though, since there's probably a lot which I'll never go back to.

Definately some great constructive answers, cheers all.

The awful/out of focus/blurred/too dark etc etc I'm just going to delete.

Have a few nature photos that I've cropped, enhanced with HSV settings, etc, etc so will keep the originals to show a 'before' and 'after' result.

Thanks again for the answers, really helped.
