Got a HTC desire now, and i guess i would like in insure it after paying for it outright.

im with hsbc and i dont believe ever though i pay for the plus account they do insurance for phones.

house insurance is not an option until i get married in August, but again would need to look into that,

who are you with if you have it?

I have mine on my parent's bank account(barclays premier), it's a joint account so can have 2 phones on there and as my dad has his iPhone insured with cpw it's mine and my mum's phones.

paid account, think it's like ~£17/month tho they do offer it cheaper accounts as well(parents used to be on the cheaper account(~£12/month)but have slowly upgraded over time).

mines through llloyds. think its 7 quid a month for phone insurance and AA cover and all sorts of other small bonuses. not bad at all imo

think i got a 3/6 month trial for it originally and it seemed sensible to keep it

cheers guys, might get it on my misses llyolds account as we are marring in aug, so will be making a joint account. thanks Jim

Using Lloyds bank atm. £7.95 a month (First 2 months are £3) for the basic package which includes AA breakdown cover, European travel insurance and Mobile insurance. You get some other benefits but those are the stand out ones.

thats better than the £12 i pay for hsbc without the mobile insurance.

can i ask, does it cover smart phones and if so do you need to register your phone code?

I've got the same, covers my iphone & it will cover the new iphone 4 (I phoned & asked).
You register your serial number.

Lloyds - platinum account or something. I get it free, no idea how much it would normally cost.

Yep, it says 'Covers repair or replacement phone up to £2,000'. You register your IMEI on the banking website along with phone number etc.
