The EA week on Steam

The ME2 download server as just picked up for me. It was at 200kb/s for most of the day, dropping as low as 80, but now it's up at 600!

Virgin Media 10meg, btw.

Anyone having problems buying this? i get this message at the payment info screen.

Probably going to buy this in anticipation of getting a new PC, current laptop wont run it. :(

Could someone explain the difference between the normal and digital deluxe editions, Steam does not make it very clear.

Thanks. :)

As far as I can tell you get some armour and an extra companion. Then a set of wallpapers (which is meh to say the least) and can download the soundtrack.

I have bought ME today

Steam cannot start the game as im getting an error "failed to contact key server"

Any ideas?

Virtually all the deals this week have been cheaper at somewhere or other, so if you don't specifically desire the Steam integration it's been a pretty shoddy sale week all told.

But you forget how some guys on here wet their pants for Steam and all its rip offs. Everything steam does can be had elsewhere, all prices are cheaper from retail shops and the cd scratch/lost line can easily be overcome with a nocd patch. So essentially Steam = Apple in my eyes

You may be right to a certain extent, but in my case I'm happy to overpay a few quid for their service. I will be moving around a lot in the next 2 years, already downsizing to a desktop replacement laptop so having games on my Steam is ideal for me as I will not be moving any of my numerous game boxes around with me.
