When i put my computer to sleep and then later try and turn the machine back on, it more often than not doesnt send a signal to the monitor, and the monitor remains blank with the power button flashing like it does when i turn the computer off without turning the monitor off. All the other hardware appears to turn on fine and the HDD starts reading but i just cant see it on the screen!

The problem usually occurs when I leave it for longer periods of time (overnight for example) but usually doesnt occur if i leave it for only a couple of hours.

Ive tried changing all the power settings so that the monitor never sleeps and the PCI express link state power management is turned off, but it doesnt effect it.

Some ppl are linking it to faulty RAM in this forum, but I dont think thats the case with mine (and many others who have posted here) cuz there stable under memory test.

I have the latest gfx drivers and running a PnP monitor (DGM 24")

Anybody have any clues how to fix this?

I have this every now and then. I get the feeling it's a RAM related but not faulty as such. try boosting your RAM voltage, mine happens much less often after bumping it up .3 .

this is a fault with the DGM monitor (mine does it too). to get the monitor to turn back on, press the right-most button on the monitor and it'll re-awaken.

?? DGM ??

the OP and me both have OcUK Value 24" monitors which are Branded "DGM" (Digimate) although they've also been sold as Yuraku and probably many others, because they're just excess-panels sold to a cheap chinese company.

still, at the time you couldn't beat 24 inches of MVA-monitor for the price!
