good news ! after my phone having the usb port fault it got to SE on monday just for repair. today a brand new handset (minus the back cover which they made me keep before) arrived. boooom

top work from SE. have even beat there own estimate of 7-11 days for warranty work



edit - has anyone on that swedish? .1 firmware ever have the phone turn itself off or get stuck in sleep ? i never had this issue on .16 but this time when i debranded i went straight for the latest one and the phone turned itself off sometime overnight

Something strange but good has happened to my phone today. I charged it as normal last night and have been using it as normal all day, calls, taking some pictures and some messages. WiFi has been on all day.
The thing is my battery has only gone down 10% normally it is at about 30% (70% used) by this time of the day.
I have not done anything different, how can this happen ?
 
Sounds like what I have. Completely unexplained drops in charge. Gonna go back to RFA016 to make sure it isn't the firmware update I did around the same time it started happening.
 
8hours and 15mins since i unplugged my charger, i've got 15% battery left.... just followed bimmer bois steps to try and get my bettery life at a normal standard

how long have you had the phone ? have you let it fully drain and charge a good few times ?

mines on nearly 16 hours uptime with 45% remaining. and because its a new handset (but my old battery) ive spent all day fiddling with it on wifi getting it set up how i want. downloading apps etc

not much 3g use admittedly because i get a horrid signal in my house

this is with the .01 firmware and adw launcher then similar settings to bimmerboi above

had my phone since it was released, its had so many full discharges as if i'm out the house for more then 10hours i'm ******. i'm on the latest firmware as well.
 
try turning the 3g off. It did the trick for me. 30 hours of use and still got 37% left.

You should definately be able to use the phone to the max without it albeit at 2g speeds only now.

On 54% now after an hour long call and 5 minutes of 3G. I am currently awaiting word from SE to tell me how I go about getting a battery replacement.
 
I tell you, I can't bloody wait when I sort out my dodgy battery and have the Q3 update. Andy, can you rebrand a phone? In case I have to do it through O2 and they want the phone/battery back.

PS - Is there an official list of what this weeks update has?

Yes, you can re-brand my phone if I need to as I have saved the Vodafone files.

If your running the Nordic firmware you have to go R1FB001 > R1FA016 (Nordic) > Your Firmware.

If your running the UK firmware its just the reverse of debranding the handset as long as you have saved the files you need.

I believe Sony Ericsson don't normally list a change log.
