The Budget

hopefully the NHS won't be cut too much, ie: people like doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

I'm not going to lie, the reason I hope that is very selfish. I want to study medicine, and with the competition increasing each year, and if they reduce the numbers of doctors, it will be so ridiculously competitive.

What time is this live? and where can I stream it?

I think you should expect a big hit on pensions, increased fuel tax, VAT rise to 20% and cuts in various other places. Although I'll remain hopeful that the NHS and education won't get cut (just their pensions)

If they want to reduce the defecit caused by the 15% vat, I think it'd have to be more than 20%, otherwise it would take too long to recover

I can take public sector cuts, what I cannot take is scumbags on are on full benefits, living in a brand new house with no intention of ever working sitting back watching sky and smoking and drinking all their life, who worry about noting, where by those of us who get a job and buy a house get smashed left, right and centre.

I also accept that we need cuts, and I agree with you about the cheats in the system...

I just hope the cuts are done in the right way...

they should have left VAT at 17.5% in the first place, now because all that did (lowering to 15%) they now realised they lost money and it gave people very little impact (2.5% saving woo) but cost them millions they are now back tracking increasing it 2.5%. Honestly...

However, it is needed. This country has been living the high life with endless credit and what not for years and a seismic shift in peoples perception and view of money (credit) needs to happen.

+1. I've always disagreed with this buy now pay later policy that shops have, it does nothing but make people with no money buy things like expensive TVs and cars that they can never afford to pay back and thus puts them into debt. I only buy things from my debit card, I never ever use credit cards.

i can't remember where I read it, but something that was cut a while ago was the department that finds benefit theives. The amount of money taken by benefit thieves is far greater than what they saved cutting that department

Anyone else having problems with videos/live streams on the BBC website? All it does it show their loading symbol and never actually loads.
