Well, recently I burnt ALL my CD's onto my PC as I needed space for other stuff. Now I have a zillion bloody folders for all the albums.

Anyone know a decent music library that I can browse through them with? Winamp is not my cup of tea, itunes is awful... Something sleak, quick and easy to use?

The suggestion you'll now get is Foobar. I've never used it myself.

Personally I still painstakingly label all my folders and files. It means I don't have to use tags or anything like that, and I can quickly windows search anything I wanna find.

Mediamonkey - it uses tags extensively but has the tools to tag from path/filename and/or external sources like amazon.

Sadly, as much as I hated iTunes I found it was the best too. You can put it into completely manual mode and stop it doing anything you don't want it to. It's not like the earlier versions that took over the computer.

I use MP3Tag to tag my music though, much better than iTunes for that.

Using Foobar here, but still named folders and files. It's very fast is and plays any file type I can throw at it no problem, that's why I use it!
