How would you decorate this 2 window, 2 door, crappy bedroom layout?

This aint possible unfortunately. Bed wouldn't fit there and the window is so low that the desk would look weird.

I'm gonna use Sparky-H's design. That's probably the best way to use the space. Leaves a nice spacious middle area.

Any idea how best to do the windows? Probably blinds, but what are those shutter's people seem to have when a bedroom has loads of windows... erm... louver shutters. Are they good?

That close to a window I'd use curtains with a black out sheet on the back.

You seem to have this intention to make some artistic statement. Your a man leave statements to women, it keeps them occupied.

This is a functional living space and should be treated as such.

Cool. Yeah curtains are easier haha. Though I do prefer blinds.
