Half Life 1 Vs Deus Ex

As said above, really difficult to compare the two. If it came down to a choice though, would have to be DE every time ;)
 
If I had to choose I would actually say Deus Ex, epic game.

Might download it on Steam now actually. :D :D
 
Another vote for Deus Ex. I had it for the ps2 though, wasn't a pc gamer at the time.
I had never played a game quite like it before and I don't think I ever will, loved the mission where you had to break out from the prison.
 
half-life is and was the best 30 quid iv'e ever spent on a game.

Deus ex is one of the best games of all time thus far, has to be halflife.

Black messa, team fortress classic, counterstrike, firearms, sven co-op, 10 years of fantasic value for me.

And still going strong for many others.
 
difficult choice but Deus Ex has to win hands down, far better game in every respect and while HL will always be legendary, it's a little too lacking in areas that DX explores.
 
In terms of quality, they were both very similar imo. Both were incredibly enjoyable games and on that score I don't think that I could choose between them.

So based on their impact on the gaming community, and how they shaped the future landscape for gaming, I'm going to go with HL.
 
I always used to have this argument with my friend and personally Deus Ex will always be the winner of the two. I've played it many times as well.
 
Why must I choose between them? :( ...Oh, right, I don't have to. :D

Still...at a push, Deus Ex.

HL was a great game, one of my all time favourites.
I played the demo of Deus Ex when it came out and I didn't like it probably because I didn't know what I was doing. Is it worth buying and playing now??
 
Half Life. Completed and loved every minute of it, Xen wasn't as good as the Black Mesa part but there you go still in the top 5 games of all time

Deus Ex, did the first couple of missions and thought meh, then never played it again.
