Would still rather have a 335i all day over the new 5 mind you![]()
Fair enough, I cant really comment as I havent been fortunate to drive either, but I seem to remember a lot of negative comments towards the new 5's steering?
335i sport on all accounts seems to be a brilliant car mind you. Cant see any reason why anyone would need anything else! The only thing that shocks me about newish BMW's build quality is the leather seems to wear at a terrible rate.

Good points to be fair! When you look at the figures its pretty amazing really. Why on earth did they use the old engine in the 335i?
Is the new 3.0 not up to the job of being turbo'd? Is the 335i really *that* much faster in the real world?
Yes but the 0 - 60 times and BHP figures really don't do the 335i justice. The 335i, being turbocharged, will have a far greater spread of torque and power and be far more flexible. The 330i is a more highly strung, peaky kind of car - requires more of the driver to extract the full performance. So in reality the gap between the 330i and 335i will be bigger than the figures suggest.[TW]Fox;16813628 said:The 330i seems to be the absolutely awesome all rounder - 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, 272bhp, 39mpg combined, £180 a year road tax, 155mph and 173g/km of CO2.
By contrast, the 335i is 0-60 in 5.5, 306bhp, 30mpg combined, £440 a year road tax, 155mph and 218g/km of CO2.
I'd never base car choice on road tax but the 330i seems like a stunningly engineered all rounder, it's nigh on 33% more efficient?!
Sadly BMW have now discontinued it in Saloon and Touring form, now the only N/A 3.0 is the 325i which is the same car but with loads less power. Stupid.
