Good 2.0 Speakers?

Hey guys now that I've moved house I don't really have room for my Z-5500's any more. They have served me well but now I'm looking for a sleek 2.0 setup without the hassle of rear speakers and a huge box that can't be near electronics.

I'm looking for a GOOD 2.0 setup that can provide a half decent amount of bass with excellent mids and highs. (I know the bass will never be as good as a dedicated sub, but at least some bass would be nice).

I was leaning towards the M-Audio BX5a's but would like to hear what you guys think. I have a Xonar D2X by the way.

My budget is around £200 but may be willing to go a little higher.

If you have space for an amplifier, that and bookshelf speakers will provide you with the best sound quality for your £200.

If you don't have the space for an amplifier, then the speakers you mentioned are very good speakers. Audio Engine A2 are also worth considering.

I have considered an amp and bookshelf speakers but I know absolutely nothing about them. I wouldn't know what to choose or to mix and match. :(
