Cars always go faulty at the wrong time.

had a turbo blow its gasket after the acuater falied causing engine killing overboost. silly me disconnected the overboost sensor as it was slightly over boosted .
this was the day before the guy was come to collect.

im forever having trouble with cars come sale time i dunno what it is, its like the car telling me no lol

When I sold my Stag, the guy turned up and the waterpump simultaneously shot itself to pieces - so it leaked everywhere.

Still sold it, mind - just gave the guy a few big bottles of water for the trip back :D

^once upon a time, cant do with out leccy windows now especially when i have auto closure on thus car. it saves even putting them up. true laziness!!!!

What's aircon?

I use one of those windy things and it makes the car cooler.

I have my windows down all the time and I have climate control. I just like fresh air:o

No faults from my car at the moment :D ...I noticed a receipt for the 'hedgehog' resister from the previous owner, was replaced last year iirc.

Well no new faults anyway, still got a few old ones persisting mind. I think really I need to take the whole intake manifold off and clean it out and replace all the gaskets on it. When I tick upto 100k miles I'm going to do an oil change, I should really drop the sump when I do and check the oil pump bolts etc, see if it is that rattling. If I do that though I'll probably need to replace the sump gasket too.

Not quite the car going faulty but my father was selling his car on ebay at the time, it had met its reserve and had a day to go.

He comes out of work and finds that some .... has keyed the door!

Quick phone around for one of the touch up places and £60 later its all fine but still great timing.

My dads old Scorpio had a handbrake failure, rolled out into the road from the sloped drive and got taken out by a drunk driver who fled the scene, well we assume he was drunk as he sped off when my dad heard the ruckus and came out to help him, followed the fluid trail but it ended, guess his engine would'be siezed/overheated somewhere soonish, though the never found him. This was the very night someone at his work gave him a deposit to collect in a week when they got the rest and it was to sit on the drive for the rest of the time.

I swear cars know when you're about to sell them - the day before the bloke came to pick up my Saab, the drivers window developed a mind of its own and wouldnt close

My Mondeo definately knew something was up in the months before me changing cars. First the handbrake calipers went just after it had been mot'd. Then the Auxillary belt tensioner started tinkling. Then I got a flat on the M62 resulting in it forcing me to put the two new brand new tyres I had bought months previously and was saving to sell on, onto the car. Then it decided to put a pint glassworth of water on the floor under the water pump area after a trip to Morrisons, but never do this again. All in all it appeared to either be trying to self destruct or guilt me into getting it fixed rather than get a new car. Its gone now though.

I called it Carma a few years ago on here.

Cars know when you have money.

They also know when you don't.

They also know when you are thinking about selling them.

this is true.

missus gets her first job and we finally get some money and the car spins for no reason and its a write off :p
