the Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 vi go for £54

Been looking at those though some people say they aren't worth the price tag and complain of the cables making interferance with the sound?

Also what about the metrofi 220 model? thanks for the suggestion too.

well it was the same problem with my superfi 3 studios, the reviews said they are too light on bass and and cable was not long enough or low quality and that they arent very comfy at all, but i got them anyway and they have just enough bass for most music, the cable is the thickest iv seen on headphones and they are very comfy, after having them in for a few minutes you dont realize your wearing earphones especially with the foam tips on.

i dont know much about the metrofi maybe someone else could tell you about them. what about the sennheiser cx550?

Probably will go with the ones you mentioned, they look comfortable and have been reduced by £80! so guess it's a good bargain.:D

Any idea what case i should get for it? would "Tuff-Luv Slim and Lite Silicone Skin Case Cover" be fine i guess for now?

Thanks for the help.

Beta Brainwavz Pro have had some good press (albeit after about 200hrs burn in) but te seem to be really good value for the quality of sound, also i beleive they come bundled with a choice of headphone amps for free. Been thinking of getting them myself

I have betas and an e5 amp also got the soundmagic pl30 and when used with the amp sound better than sennheiser ie6 without the amp on the e5.Naturally the ie6 sound better than both when using the amp connected to the clip.

You will get more for your money importing that's for sure amazing little thing the e5 even if it is just a volume booster.

i use a pair of Seinnheiser cx300-II with my sansa clip+ and i've no complaints. amazing gear for the £15ish quid I paid. maybe you're set on spending £50 and if so fair enough. but if i had to replace mine, i doubt i could justify spending that much given how good the 300's are for the price.

never been into the iems ,went from stock buds to koss ksc75s to px100 to ultrasone hfi780s , if i was in this position i think i would be thinking yuin pk2 or head direct reo at this price point but hey ,im new to this area ,never went beyond the cx300s and found them terrible

Got the player yesterday, one problem is the sound isn't high at all? anyone know why or how to solve this? i am still deciding on earphones and checking the ones mentioned in this thread but doubt they would solve this issue?

Please help if you can, thanks. :)

Edit: Fixed it, changed the region to North America by reseting Factory defaults, time to decide on the earphones....so hard to pick lol.

Sorry to bump this thread guys but i've got a budget of £100-200 now and want the best sound possible.(not too fussed about high base, just a crisp nice clear sound and decent length tough cables.)

Any ideas? i wish to order them over the next few days so please help, thanks again.

I been looking at Shure earphones but still got no 100% idea of what's good....

I can recommend the Monster Turbine Pro Coppers.
I'm sorry, but to recommend buying any Monster product is probably one of the worst consumerist recommendations you can make to anyone. They are a disgusting company for many reasons. Go do some googling to see why most informed users would never buy anything from them, and would love to see the company collapse - not to mention they make overpriced snake oil junk, too.

I can recommend the Monster Turbine Pro Coppers.

The Coppers are a good IEM, the Monster Turbine Pro Golds, Sennheiser IE8s and UE Triple'fis are also very good.

The Coppers and IE8s are more bass orientated, with a warm sound and do the job very well, but the Triple.fi's are more treble orientated, with punchy bass.

I've had all four and preferred the Triple.fi's, although the fit isn't for some.

The Ortofon EQ-7s can be had for £200 and are very, very highly rated on Head.fi, but I haven't heard them, so can only go by the comments that I've read.

Have a look at this Table with a lot of information which may help you.
