Hey guys,

So I was hoping for some more advice on watercooling. I have my gfx and cpu water cooled atm, but now my memory and chipset(i think this is the correct name) is over heating and causing my pc to restart. So I really want to add them to my loop. So I'm look for as cheap as possible, a block or blocks to cool 4 DDR2 chips and a block for my chipset (Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR MoboP45)

Not looking for top of of the line stuff here, just something cheap that will do the job really.

Also I have tried using a memory air cooler thing, and it hasn't helped... =(

Water cooling the ram is a waste of time. Mine is just cooled just by case airflow and never exceeds mid 30's. Are you sure you have'nt got a faulty set of ram? I do have my NB watercooled though as i removed the heatpipe assembly. I used to have a XSPC H20 NB block on it but got a brand new EK NF4 chipset block on the bay for £4.99 delivered. Yes it's meant for NF4 chipsets but the mounting holes are perfect for P45. What case is this all in and what fan setup do you currently have?

CPU: Intel Quad Core Q8400 OverClocked to 3.2
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR Intel P45
Ram: Kingston 8g DRR2 1066
Graphics: XFX ATI 5870
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent

for pictures of the setup see my project thread here

As for the current overclock setupi i believe this is mostly accurate.

I have thrown my memory fan cooler thing back on it, but its still super hot to just touch. :( and tbh i still wanna clock the ram alittle more so it runs at the speed its suspose to. I think its clocked to something like 1033 and i want it running at min 1066

Maybe look at getting some of those new Air Penatrator fans from silverstone for your raven? They will be a straight swap.

Sure, I would upgrade that, but i fear it wont solve my problem as my 180 and 120 mm fans are only really cooling my radiators and my loop holds cold enough for it to not be a problem.... however... my nortbridge and my memory are the only things running hot... my cpu and GFX are all running reletively cool 40C MAX

I can't see why your ram is getting hot. I have PC2-8500 running at it's speed of 1066mhz with 2.1v and as i said earlier, just with case air flow temps never exceed the mid 30's. My case fans are only running at 660rpm as well. I used to have a Corsair dominator triple fan ram cooler but taking it out only increased the temps by a couple of degrees.

could be the horribly warm weather we are having recently? My rig is struggling somewhat as my room is really stuffy :(
